4 day Desert Tour

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

  • Drive time: 6 hours drive | 330 km
We start our desert adventure early in the morning from Marrakech, driving through the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, we stop to take in panoramic views before reaching Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site featured in movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After lunch, we continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” and then pass through the Valley of Roses. By late afternoon, we arrive in the picturesque Dades Valley, where we spend the night in a comfortable hotel.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Sahara Desert

  • Drive time: 6 hours drive | 300 km
After breakfast, we drive through the dramatic Dades canyons and continue toward the towering cliffs of Todra Gorge. You’ll have time to walk through the gorge before heading toward the Sahara. Once we arrive in Merzouga, our camels await a peaceful sunset trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. At the luxury desert camp, we’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, live Berber music, and sleep under the stars in private tents.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Ziz Valley – Midelt

We reach Midelt, a peaceful mountain town nestled in the Middle Atlas, where we stay overnight.

Day 4: Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes

On our final day, we travel north toward Fes. Along the way, we stop in Azrou, where we visit the cedar forest and may see Barbary monkeys in their natural habitat. We also explore Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its European-style architecture and alpine setting. By the afternoon, we arrive in Fes, where we drop you off at your hotel or riad, concluding an unforgettable 4-day desert adventure.
