5-Day Itinerary in Morocco
Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes (6 hours drive | 340 km)
We begin our Morocco desert trip with a pick-up in Casablanca. First, visit the majestic Hassan II Mosque. Then we drive to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, to explore the Kasbah of the Udayas, Hassan Tower, and Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Continue to Meknes for a glimpse of its imperial gates, then onward to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Finally, we head to Fes for an overnight stay in a traditional riad.
Day 2: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou Cedar Forest – Midelt – Merzouga (7 hours drive | 470 km)
After breakfast, we head south through the scenic Middle Atlas. We stop at alpine-style Ifrane and Azrou’s Cedar Forest, home to wild Barbary macaques.
