3 days Fes Desert tour itinerary

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou Cedar Forest – Merzouga Sahara desert.

Your private driver will come to greet you in your accommodation at 8:00 AM, then start your 3-day Fes to Merzouga Desert tour. You will drive toward Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco. Afterward, you will continue your trip to Azrou Cedar forest, where you can meet the Barbarian Apes and feed them for a while. After some time, your itinerary continues through the Middle Atlas mountains and Palm Grove of Ziz to Merzouga. Here, you will check your accommodation in the heart of the dunes.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert excursion – “Camel trekking and night in a luxury camp”.

Once you finish your breakfast, you will go on a Merzouga 4×4 excursion to uncover the secrets of the desert. Start by driving along the off-road routes of the Rally-Dakar, making your way to a renowned fossil quarry. Your journey will then take you to the Oases of Tisrdmine.
Next, you’ll visit a nomadic family settlement in the heart of the Sahara dunes, where you can learn about their way of life. The 4×4 excursion will lead you to a panoramic viewpoint, offering stunning vistas of the vast dunes. Then continue your journey to Khamlia village, where you will stop by a home of traditional black people music. Here, you can enjoy the rhythm of their soulful music and perhaps even join in the dance.
After immersing yourselves in the local culture, you will head to a nearby restaurant for a delicious Berber pizza lunch. Following your meal, you have the option to take a leisurely walk through the beautiful palm grove.
In the afternoon, you will go on a guided Camel trekking caravan to the top sand dunes of Merzouga for an amazing sunset before you go on camels back to your luxury desert camp for the night. The camp is fully equipped with air conditioning, a hot shower, and a toilet in each private tent.

Day 3: Merzouga Sahara desert – Ziz Valley – Fes.

Since you are in the heart of the dunes, you might want to wake up earlier to watch a fantastic sunrise before you enjoy a Moroccan breakfast.
Once everyone is ready, you’ll continue your adventure trip from Merzouga back to Fes. During this journey, you are going to enjoy views of the desert landscapes and stop at the Valley of Ziz to enjoy the panoramic view of this amazing Palm grove.
