3 Day Ouarzazate Desert tour

• Itinerary:

Day 1: Ouarzazate – Amridil Kasbah – Rose Valley – Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert.

After breakfast, we will depart for a 3-day desert tour from Ouarzazate towards the Skoura Oasis. Our first stop will be the Kasbah of Amridil, renowned for its stunning architecture nestled amid palm groves and the Atlas Mountains. Built in the 17th century, it originally served as a residence and a defensive structure. The kasbah features impressive earth and stone construction, tall towers, and intricate carvings, representing a vital piece of Moroccan heritage. The surrounding landscape makes it a favorite spot for photography and exploration. Following our visit, we’ll continue our journey through Rose Valley to the breathtaking Dades Gorge. Soon after, we will reach the Todra Gorge, a 300-meter high canyon where we’ll take a short walk to enjoy the amazing views. Once everyone is ready, we will head towards the sand dunes of Merzouga, passing through the geological city of Erfoud. Upon arrival, we will be greeted with a glass of mint tea while checking in to our accommodation. Enjoy dinner and a relaxing night.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert Excursion.

After breakfast, we will embark on a guided desert excursion to uncover the hidden treasures of the region, starting from our accommodation toward the dunes of Merzouga. Our journey will take us to Tissardmin Oasis to explore fossil quarries, and then to visit a Nomadic family to learn about their traditional lifestyle. Next, we will visit Khamlia village, where you can experience the vibrant rhythms of Gnawa music and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After returning to your riad to prepare for a camel trek, we’ll witness an unforgettable sunset from the top of the dunes. Your day will end at a luxury desert camp featuring private toilets, air-conditioning, and hot showers in each tent.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert Dunes – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate.

For those interested, you can wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise before breakfast. Once everyone is prepared, we will start the final day of our desert tour back to Ouarzazate. Our itinerary includes a stop in Rissani, the economic center of the southeast, where you may have the chance to explore the spices market and purchase local souvenirs. Afterward, we’ll continue our journey, passing through Alnif and Tazarine, the Henna capital. We will join the Palm Grove of Draa on our return to Ouarzazate. Upon arrival, our driver will escort you to your accommodation, marking the end of our 3-day desert tour.
