Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Benhaddou – Rose Valley – Dades Valley
We will start from Marrakech in the early morning. The route takes us through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, we will stop at local Berber villages for a scenic break.
Our first major destination is the historic Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After exploring the ancient ksar, we will head to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco.” We continue to the Rose Valley, famous for its fragrant rose products.
By evening, we reach the Dades Valley. You will enjoy a traditional dinner and stay overnight in a cozy riad or hotel.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todgha Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we will continue our journey through the Dades Valley. Our next stop is the dramatic Todgha Gorge, known for its towering cliffs. We will take time to walk along the river and capture the beauty of this stunning spot.
After lunch, we drive to Erfoud, known for its fossil artifacts. Then, we make our way to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. In the afternoon, you will experience a camel trek into the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes.
After that, we will enjoy the sunset over the dunes before reaching the desert camp. A traditional Moroccan dinner awaits, followed by music and stargazing. Overnight in a Berber camp.
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
We will start early to catch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4. Next, we visit Rissani, a historic town known for its lively markets.
From Rissani, we drive through Alnif and the stunning Draa Valley. The lush palm groves provide a stark contrast to the arid desert. We will pass by Ouarzazate, where you can take photos of the famous Taourirt Kasbah.
Our final stretch takes us back to Marrakech, arriving in the evening. This marks the end of an unforgettable adventure.
