Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Skoura – Valley of Roses – Dades Valley

5 days from Marrakech to Sahara desert tour departure: After breakfast,  the Day Desert Tours driver will meet you in your accommodation in Marrakech. Then, head towards the High Atlas Mountains, which feature some of the area’s most rugged and diverse landscapes. You’ll pass through beautiful valleys and Berber villages along the way, heading towards Skoura, an oasis known for its vast palm groves and kasbahs. As you journey through the Valley of Roses, you’ll stop for lunch at a traditional local restaurant. From there, Boumalne Dades is only a short drive away, famous for its stunning geological formations that are millions of years old. In the evening, You will enjoy some rest after an exciting day of sightseeing.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Gorges of Todra – Erfoud – Merzouga.

The Morocco Desert tour from Marrakech 2nd day itinerary: Once you have finished your breakfast, you are set off on a thrilling adventure to explore the best of Morocco’s desert landscape. Your journey continues as you visit the breathtaking panoramic viewpoint of Dades Gorge before venturing onwards to the magnificent Tinghir, where the Valley of Todra awaits you. Here, you will have the opportunity to marvel at one of the most famous gorges in the area, Todra Gorge, and soak up the stunning natural scenery surrounding you. After a while, your itinerary continues towards the Desert of Merzouga, passing by the fossil capital of Erfoud. Upon arrival, you will check in for your desert hotel rooms overnight.

Day 3: Merzouga 4×4 Desert excursion including Camel trekking & Night in Luxury camp.

The Merzouga 4×4 desert excursion will kick off after breakfast. You’ll drive along the spectacular desert dunes of Merzouga, also known as Erg Chebbi, which features an impressive chain of sandy terrain rising to 250 meters. As you journey along the off-road paths of ‘Rally Dakar,’ you’ll stop at the Tissardmin Oasis, known for its fossil quarries.

Next, you’ll visit a nomadic family settlement and then proceed to Khamlia, a village of black people. Here, you’ll have the chance to explore one of the local Gnawa music schools, where you can enjoy traditional music and dance while sipping mint tea. Following this cultural experience, we’ll head to a Berber restaurant for lunch.

Afterward, your private driver will take you back to your accommodation in Merzouga to prepare for a spectacular camel trekking excursion. You’ll witness a breathtaking sunset, perfect for capturing memorable photos. Once the sun goes down, your camel guide will lead you on a camel ride to a luxury desert camp nestled in the dunes. The camp has private toilets and hot showers, ensuring a comfortable stay in the heart of the desert.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate.

On the morning of your Morocco desert tour 4th day, you might want to wake up early to enjoy a spectacular sunrise before you set off for your following itinerary. After a delicious breakfast at the camp, you’ll depart towards the ancient economic capital of Rissani, followed by a scenic drive through the Palm Grove of Tafilalet en route to Alnif. Along the way, you’ll be treated to some of the most stunning landscapes of the desert.

Your journey will take you through the Valley of Draa, leading you into the beautiful Ait Saouen Gorge within the Atlas Mountains. Once you arrive at Ouarzazate, you can explore the Kasbah of Taourirt before settling into your accommodation for the night.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas mountains – Marrakech.

Once you finish breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive from Ouarzazate to the stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ait Benhaddou. As you wander through the winding lanes of this ancient village made entirely of red clay, you’ll be transported back in time. Following your visit, you’ll drive through the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains, where you’ll be treated to stunning vistas of snow-capped peaks, lush valleys, and charming mountain villages in the hills. Your final destination will be the vibrant city of Marrakech, where you can fully immerse yourself in this unforgettable location’s sights, sounds, and flavors.
